We are proud to be a five-star organization on Google! Take a moment to see what the people are saying!

Nicole: I received my training directly from Kurt, founder of First Aid For The Blind, and it has changed my life. He provided very practical answers to questions I didn’t even know how to ask. Those answers also provided my family with peace of mind as they saw my confidence grow and my fears relieved! Anyone faced with lost or rapidly declining vision will greatly benefit from partnering with First Aid For The Blind!

Nancy: I am so grateful for this organization. I recently went blind. I felt hopeless and depressed, and I thought my life was over. Losing your vision is a major life change. I was provided with the tools and training that I needed to get back to some of the activities that I used to do before I went blind. I learned how to use my computer, iPad, iPhone, and Apple Watch using screen readers. Brian was very patient. Within a month I was able to do most things independently on my laptop. They are now like family to me. I can tell that they have a passion for helping the blind community. I would 100% recommend them.

Joe: This company, especially Kurt Deichmann, gave me all of the tools, training, and support I needed to prepare myself and move on with my low-vision issues. Because of their help, I was able to adapt and get the job of my dreams even though I have vision issues. Thank you!!!

John: Excellent experience! I was diagnosed with LHON. This is a rapid loss of vision. First Aid for the Blind was recommended to me by my assigned social worker who is tasked with helping me keep employment. I would highly recommend this program.

Beki: I participated in an excellent training program offered at First Aid for the Blind. Kurt made sure I got all my training materials, checked on me throughout the training, and followed up to see if there was anything else I needed. My instructor, Brian, was very knowledgeable over all the material and explained things very well. Excellent staff, awesome training program.

All we can say is thank you. We serve blind and low-vision folks because they are us and we are them. We saw a gap in the community – a need for training to help people live independently and a place where people could go to for support on short notice. We try to fill that gap, and we are honored to do so.

If you or a loved one is losing or has lost vision, please email us at admin@faftb.com and we will do our best to assist.
